DON’T TAKE RISKS WITH COUNTERFEIT TREATMENTS

The success and popularity of Ultherapy® have resulted in several counterfeit devices that are putting unsuspecting patients at risk with their unverified promises. These counterfeits are untested, potentially unsafe devices that might do more harm than good.

With many counterfeit treatments, energy is delivered at inconsistent levels and depths, which put patients at risk. Ultrasound energy delivered too intensely and too close to the surface of the skin can result in burns to the treated area. Conversely, energy delivered sporadically or at too low a level (or not at all) may result in a less-than-desirable outcome – or no result at all.

WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR TO CONFIRM IT IS AN AUTHENTIC ULTHERA® SYSTEM?

The best way to ensure that you are going to receive an authentic treatment is to visit a certified Ultherapy® treatment Ultherapist. You can find the full list of authentic treatment Ultherapists by visiting our clinic locator.

However, there are other ways to determine if you are receiving an authentic Ultherapy® treatment:

  1. Check to see that your treatment visualisation is happening in real-time. When the treatment device moves along your skin, the ultrasound image should display all the details of your skin in real-time. Counterfeit products usually feature only static images or generic ultrasounds footages on loop.
  2. Look for the authenticity sticker displayed on the device. Pay special attention to the Amplify II Software seal found on the display panel.
  3. Ask the clinic to show you their authenticity crystal and certificate. Certified Ultherapy® Ultherapists are provided with an authenticity certificate and crystal upon purchase of their device. If this is not already displayed in the clinic, ask your Ultherapist to show you before receiving treatment.
